Braking Defect Spurs Recall of 242,000 Toyota Hybrids
Toyota Motor Corp. is recalling 233,000 Prius and 9,000 Lexus HS250h hybrid sedans from the 2010 model year to replace a part that could crack and cause a loss of brake boost.

Toyota Motor Corp. is recalling 233,000 Prius and 9,000 Lexus HS250h hybrid sedans from the 2010 model year to replace a part that could crack and cause a loss of brake boost.
Toyota says the campaign includes 117,000 cars in Japan, 87,000 in the U.S. and 30,000 in Europe.
Dealers will replace defective brake booster pumps with upgraded units, according to the company.
