Robert Bosch GmbH, which previously forecast full-year sales growth of 3%-5%, tells Germany's Handelsblatt it now expects results will be at the top of that range.
Last year the company's revenue rose 3% to €46.4 billion. Gains were driven by a 7% hike to €30.7 billion in sales by its automotive technology operation.
CEO Volkmar Denner adds that the company is spending about €500 annually to find new fields of business for its existing operations. The company aims to double its sales in Asia and the Americas by 2020.
Earlier this year Bosch declared as future sales focal points "intelligent" sensors, autonomous driving technology and internet-related products and services.
