BMW Names New N. America Marketing Chief

BMW AG has appointed Uwe Dreher to head the company’s marketing operations in North America.
Dreher currently is vice president of global brand communication for BMW and its M performance and i electric vehicle units. The new position is effective July 1.
Dreher joined BMW in 2002. He has worked in various marketing positions for BMW and its Mini subsidiary. He has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Ravensburg in Germany.
In his new position, Dreher will oversee marketing communication and product planning for BMW in the U.S. He will report to BMW of North America CEO Bernhard Kuhnt.
Dreher succeeds Trudy Hardy, who previously was named vice president of BMW Motorrad of the Americas. Hardy has headed the company’s marketing activities in North America since 2013.
