BMW AG says it is on track to introduce its futuristic iNext electric vehicle in 2021.
The carmaker, which released a teaser sketch of the vehicle this week, plans to show the new EV in concept form later this year. The drawing indicates a stylish crossover vehicle with front-end cues borrowed from last year’s I Vision Dynamics concept car.
BMW has said the iNext will serve as the company’s technology leader. This will include a next-generation “Level 3.5” autonomous driving system. The car also will be “fully connected” and have a 500-km (310-mile) driving range, according to the carmaker.
