Beijing Automotive Industry Corp. is expected to unveil an all-electric supercar concept later this month at the Beijing auto show.
The vehicle has an estimated driving range of 186 miles and can race from zero to 62 mph in about three seconds on its way to a top speed of 162 mph, Autocar reports, citing unnamed Chinese sources. The EV also will feature three driving modes with variable suspension heights, according to the U.K.-based enthusiast magazine.
Leaked photos of the new concept show a sporty two-seater with a ventilated hood, aggressive side skirts, rear spoiler and scissor doors.
Previous reports have said BAIC’s Beijing Electric Vehicle Co. unit is working with California startup Atieva Inc. on a range of new EVs that will be sold globally. BAIC already sells its own electric cars in China.
