Audi AG is using five dealerships in Texas to test consumer interest in a subscription scheme that grants access to an array of cars and crossover vehicles for $1,395 per month.
The Audi Select plan offers a fleet that comprises the A4 midsize sedan, A5 convertible and S5 sport coupe, and midsize Q5 and large Q7 crossover vehicles, Automotive News reports. Subscribers may swap vehicles as often as twice per month, or use the same vehicle for as long as six months.
Several other luxury brands are conducting similar evaluations. Like them, the Audi plan’s monthly fee covers taxes, insurance and routine maintenance. The company tells AN it hopes to expand Audi Select by the end of this year.
