Volkswagen AG's Audi unit says its redesigned TT sports car will be equipped with a single video display that combines navigation, infotainment and normal instrumentation.
The new TT will be publicly introduced in March at the Geneva auto show and go on sale later this year.
Audi teased the new model by unveiling its interior, including the virtual instrument panel, earlier this week at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
The system's 12.-3-inch driver-oriented display eliminates the need for a separate navigation screen in the center stack. In the new TT, the center stack is eliminated entirely. Controls for heating, cooling, air conditioning and seat heating are housed within the dash-mounted air vents.
The video instrument pane normally displays a traditional arrangement of speedometer, tachometer, fuel level and other gauges. Those readouts remain but are minimized when the driver selects the three-dimensional navigation or infotainment functions.

Honda Re-Imagines and Re-Engineers the Ridgeline
