Aston Martin Chief Engineer Joins EV Maker Tesla
Tesla Motors Inc. has hired Chris Porritt from Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd., where he headed engineering, to become the electric car maker's vice president of vehicle engineering.

Tesla Motors Inc. has hired Chris Porritt from Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd., where he headed engineering, to become the electric car maker's vice president of vehicle engineering.
Porritt fills a position at the California-based company that was vacated 16 months ago by Peter Rawlinson.
Porritt, who joined Aston Martin in 1997, directed engineering work on the One-77 supercar. At Tesla, he will help bring the company's Model X crossover to market at the end of next year and engineer a successor to the Roadster sports car.
