American Axle & Manufacturing Holdings Inc. reports its second-quarter sales rose 6% to $1 billion, and net earnings climbed 12% to $59 million. Operating income grew 7% to $94 million.
About one-third of the company's sales of driveline components were to non-General Motors Co. customers, a 15% improvement on year-earlier volume.
AAM sales through the first half of 2015 advanced 9% to nearly $2 billion. Net earnings in January-June totaled $112 million, up 30%.
