Honda Motor Co.’s Acura unit says its NSX EV Concept model will feature four electric motors that will enable the carmaker’s first application of four-wheel independent torque vectoring.

The EV will compete at the Pikes Peak hill climb in Colorado along with a pair of hybrid-electric NSX supercars later this month. Acura says the car’s electric system is three times more powerful than that of the all-electric CR-Z coupe that won its class in last year’s Pikes Peak race.
