ZF Friedrichshafen AG says it will invest more than $71 million to expand its technical center in Northville Township, Mich. The plan calls for adding about 210,000 sq ft to the site and creating 571 jobs.

The expansion will allow ZF to increase research and development on its core axle, chassis, steering and transmission products. The company says it also will develop new technologies for cars, commercial trucks and off-road equipment at the Michigan facility.
