Winkler to Head Bentley in the Americas

Volkswagen AG's Bentley Motors unit has named Michael Winkler to head its Bentley Motors Inc. unit, headquartered in the U.S.

He joins Bentley from Jaguar Land Rover, where he has been managing director of operations in Australia.

Winkler will take over as president and CEO for Bentley in the Americas on April 1. He succeeds Christophe Georges, who has been appointed director of global product and marketing for the brand.

Winkler previously worked with Porsche in Australia, Germany and North America. Bentley notes that the Americas remains it largest market with sales of nearly 3,200 cars last year.
