Volkswagen AG will pay a €7,200 bonus to each of its 100,000 unionized workers in western Germany for last year compared with €7,500 for 2011.
The company said earlier this week it had cut 2012 compensation for its top executives.
VW pays much smaller bonuses to workers at some of its overseas factories. Czech employees of the company's Skoda say they received a bonus of 19,000 koruna (€742) per person for 2011.
