Volkswagen AG's Audi and Porsche units are preparing to recall at least 110,200 vehicles more than half of them in China to repair a fuel injection system leak.
The global campaigns will begin in mid-March. About 80,000 of the vehicles are Audi A4, A5, A6 and A7 cars and Q7 crossover vehicles made between April 2011 and April 2012, according to China's General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine.
Volkswagen also will recall about 16,700 VW Touareg SUVs and 13,500 Porsche Cayenne SUVs and Panamera sedans to fix a similar problem.
All affected vehicles are equipped with a 3.0-liter V-6 gasoline engine. Some owners may smell fuel in affected vehicles, according to VW. Chinese officials note that a faulty seal could cause a fire.
