CEO Martin Winterkorn tells Handelsblatt that the group is "currently busy enough" with its portfolio. In the past three months the company boosted its stake in MAN to 75%, bought Ducati and completed its purchase of Porsche.
Winterkorn dismisses media speculation that VW might buy Malaysia carmaker Proton Holdings Bhd. He acknowledges that he continues to find Fiat SpA's Alfa Romeo brand "interesting" but says there are no immediate plans to act.
