VW Group Sales Slipped in April

The decline was due almost entirely to VW brand vehicle sales, which shrank 2% to 1.98 million units in the period. Sales of heavy commercial trucks also declined, dropping 17% to 30,300 units for MAN and 2% to 24,700 units for Scania.
Group sales for the four-month period rose 4% to 1.38 million in Europe but plummeted 21% to 200,400 units in South America. Volume in the U.S. was flat at 184,000 units but rose 4% to 284,300 across all of North America.
