VW Group Sales Dropped 4% in June

Worldwide deliveries of Volkswagen Group vehicles fell to 840,400 units last month from 877,900 units in June 2014, dragged down by a 9% drop to 470,700 units for VW brand cars.

Group sales in January-June slipped to 5.04 million from 5.07 million in the same period of 2014.

In Europe, group volume through the first half of 2015 rose 4% to 2.11 million units. Deliveries in North America climbed 6% to 451,200, including a 2% gain to 295,000 in the U.S.

Sales in South America plunged 23% to 297,300 units in January-June, as deliveries in Brazil plummeted 30% to 211,800. Demand declined 3% to 1.94 million in China and fell 41% to 142,600 in Russia.
