Volkswagen Golf
Volkswagen AG's seventh-generation Golf four-door hatch was voted 2015 North American Car of the Year. A panel of 57 automotive journalists from the U.S. and Canada made the selections.
The F-150 outscored the all-new Chevrolet Colorado midsize pickup and Lincoln MKC crossover. The Golf prevailed over the Ford Mustang sport coupe and Hyundai Genesis sedan. Both vehicles won by wide margins.
The awards, now in their 22nd year, have named the F-150 truck of the year three times before. The Golf's win is its first in North America.
