VW Brand Sales Rose 5% in May

Volkswagen AG reports that its namesake brand increased sales 5% to a record 539,700 units last month.

VW’s May sales climbed 4% to 251,600 vehicles in China, 6% to 167,000 units in Europe, 20% to 42,100 units in South America and 4% to 31,200 units in the U.S.

The brands global sales through the first five months of 2018 expanded 7% to 2.58 million units.
