VW Beefs Up U.S. Financial Arm

Volkswagen AG says it will expand its financial operations in the U.S. to support the company's planned sales increase.

VW Credit Inc. is doubling the size of a customer service facility in Libertyville, Ill., and plans to add 150 jobs to increase the unit's workforce 18% through 2018.

The VW group aims to boost American sales to a million vehicles by 2018 from 444,200 units last year. Volume jumped 34% to 124,400 units in the first quarter of 2012.
