VOXX Lands Rear-Seat Entertainment Deal with GM

Voxx International Corp. says its VoxxHirschmann subsidiary will supply a new rear-seat entertainment system to General Motors Co. for unspecified 2018-2020 models.

The deal is the first of three contracts for the next-generation Evolution (Evo) Series platform, according to Voxx. The Hauppauge, N.Y.-based company says the latest Evo system will integrate media playback and streaming capabilities with wireless in-car connectivity that will give users greater flexibility to view and share content on in-vehicle displays.
