Alain Visser has left Volvo Car Corp. after 14 days as the company's senior vice president of marketing, sales and customer service, Automotive News reports.
Volvo has not commented publicly on Visser's departure. But AN says he has been replaced by Bernard Bradley, who was Kia Motors Corp.'s European sales chief until the end of March.
Visser joined Volvo as sales chief last September. He was previously vice president of sales and marketing at General Motors Co.'s Opel unit, Visser quit GM in March 2012 just as he was about to become the Chevrolet brand's global marketing chief.
Kia deliveries in Europe surged 27% during Bradley's two-year tenure, AN notes. The newspaper says Volvo, whose global volume has been flat for eight years, will likely expect similar results for its worldwide sales.
