Volvo Car Group says Fu Qiang, its sales chief in China, has resigned for personal reasons, says Automotive News China. The company has not announced a successor.

Fu began is automotive career at China FAW Group and moved to the Beijing Benz Automotive joint venture before becoming head of Volvo sales four years ago.

Volvo, which was acquired in 2010 by Zhejiang Geely Holding Group, aims to increase its annual global sales to 800,000 units by 2020 from 503,000 last year. The brand’s sales in China in 2015 were flat at 81,600 units. Deliveries rose 8% to 25,900 cars in the past four months, according to ANC.
