AB Volvo is looking for a buyer for its Government Sales business, which accounts for less than 2% of the commercial truckmaker’s annual revenue.
The company touts the growth potential for the unit, whose orders are at a record high. The business makes and sells specialty vehicles for the military and aid organizations. Most of the operation’s 1,300 employees are in France.
Volvo Truck sells vehicles under the Mack, Nova Bus, Prevost, Renault, Terex, UD and Volvo brands.
