Volvo Truck Deliveries Grow 1% in July

Volvo Group reports it delivered 15,600 commercial trucks last month compared with 15,400 in July 2014.

The company says increases of 5% to 5,900 units in Europe, 1% to 4,900 vehicles in the U.S. and 27% to 2,500 trucks in Asia offset a 34% decline to 1,000 units in South America.

Volvo's sales of medium and heavy trucks rose 4% and 3%, respectively, but demand for light-duty trucks fell 14% in July. The company markets vehicles under the Donfeng, Eicher, Mack, Renault Trucks, UD Trucks and Volvo brands.
