Ray Lane, managing partner of venture capital firm Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers LLC, resigned from Fisker Automotive Inc.'s board of directors on Friday, Reuters reports.
Menlo Park, Calif.-based KPCB does not give an explanation for Lane's departure from Fisker two days before hybrid vehicle maker filed for bankruptcy.
Lane was an early booster of the Anaheim, Calif.-based startup. He and the venture firm were big investors in Fisker.
