U.S. Labor Day Travel Likely to Reach Six-Year High

Nearly 35 million Americans are expected to travel at least 50 miles during the Labor Day weekend Aug. 28-Sept. 1. That's up 1.3% from last year and would represent the biggest volume since 2008, according to AAA.
The auto club says 86% of U.S. holiday travelers almost 30 million will make their journey by car or truck.
AAA notes that the average price of gasoline for this time of year is at a four-year low of $3.44 per gallon compared with $3.59 on Labor Day last year.
