Light vehicle sales in America will reach a six-year high of 15 million vehicles next year compared with an estimated 14.4 million units in 2012, predicts online auto data provider Edmunds.com.
The projected 4% year-over-year increase would be the smallest since the sales recovery began in 2010, says Edmunds. It cites uncertainty about the U.S. economy and the spillover effect of slowing growth abroad.
Edmunds expects 2013 sales to be underpinned by an aging fleet, greater access to credit and an increase in cars coming off lease.
