Toyota Motor Corp. confirms plans over the next five years to buy as many as 13 million replacements for Takata Corp. airbag inflators from three rival suppliers.
Toyota's deal to buy the devices from Autoliv, Daicel and Nippon Kayaku is a vote of no confidence in Takata's own replacement inflators.

Toyota has announced plans to replace the Takata frontal airbag inflators in roughly 12 million of its vehicles worldwide.
