Jaguar Land Rover Ltd. is recalling 99,300 Range Rover SUVs in the U.S. to fix brake hoses that could develop leaks.
The larger campaign will replace flexible front brake lines in 74,600 Range Rovers made during model years 2006-2012. If a line ruptures, the resulting loss of brake fluid would reduce the vehicle's braking capability.
A separate recall involving 24,700 of the company's 2013-2014 model Range Rovers will reroute a brake vacuum hose that could chafe. A leak would reduce power boost for the brakes.
Separately, JLR is preparing to recall about 4,800 Jaguar XK sport coupes built during the 2012-2015 model years to reprogram the front parking lamps. The lights currently may turn off after about five minutes of operation instead of remaining on, thereby failing to comply with U.S. safety standards.
All three campaigns are scheduled to begin in mid-March.
