England’s Unite labor union says it will conduct eight strikes at BMW AG production facilities over the next few weeks to protest the company’s plan to modify worker pension programs.

The strikes will target BMW’s Mini assembly plant in Oxford, engine factory in Hams Hall and Rolls-Royce luxury car production in Goodwood. As many as 3,500 workers could participate. Unite plans the first strike for April 19 at Hams Hall.

The company tells Reuters it has several options to ease the transition to a new pension plan, which workers hired since 2014 are on already. A spokesperson says BMW also is “open to negotiation.”

BMW’s operations in the U.K. assemble about 210,000 Mini small cars, 4,000 Rolls-Royce car and 250,000 engines per year.
