The San Francisco-based provider of ride-on-demand services already has raised more than $10 billion since it began operations about five years ago.
Bloomberg’s sources say Uber is telling investors it generates gross revenue of more than $10 billion worldwide, operates at a profit in more than 80 cities and has increased the number of trips completed in the U.S. 250% in the past 12 months.
The current financing round so far has closed investments from Tiger Global Management and T. Rowe Price, according to the report.
