Truck Sales Jump 20% in Europe

Sales of medium- and heavy-duty trucks in March grew 20% to 31,400 vehicles. Demand for light-duty trucks expanded to 195,400 units from 162,500 in 2014. Medium- and heavy-duty bus sales soared 32% to 4,000 units.
Europe's five largest truck markets all reported double-digit gains last month. The increases were led by the U.K. (+26% to 68,500 units) and Spain (+68% to 17,700). Volumes rose in France (+11% to 41,200 units), Germany (+13% to 31,200) and Italy (+10% to 12,600).
