Truck Sales in Europe Climb Nearly 11%

Demand for commercial vehicles across Europe rose to 183,100 units in October from 165,700 a year earlier, industry group ACEA reports. It was the region's 14th consecutive month of growth.

Deliveries advanced in the U.K. (27% to 35,400 units) Germany (10% to 30,900 ), Italy (16% to 12,400) and Spain (41% to 14,700). Volume fell 6% to 38,600 units in France.

Light-truck sales rose 10% to 145,600, and heavy-truck sales jumped 13% to 22,400.
