Light truck sales for all of Europe fell nearly 13% to 115,800 units. Demand dropped 2% to 17,500 units in Germany, 20% to 14,500 units in the U.K. and 38% to 10,300 units in Italy. Sales were flat at 33,700 units in France.
Europe's demand for heavy trucks dropped 7% to 19,500 units in April. Volume rose in 4% in Germany and 12% in the U.K. but fell 7% in France and 41% in Italy.
