Tremec To Open U.S. Plant, Headquarters
Tremec Corp., a Mexico City-based maker of high-performance transmissions and other powertrain components, is opening a $54 million headquarters and manufacturing complex near Detroit.
Tremec Corp., a Mexico City-based maker of high-performance transmissions and other powertrain components, is opening a $54 million headquarters and manufacturing complex near Detroit.
The unit of Mexican industrial conglomerate Grupo Kuo has operated a sales office in Michigan since 1975. The new facilities, representing Tremec’s manufacturing operation in the U.S., will create more than 130 jobs.
The site will include a tech support center, global business development unit and aftermarket business group in addition to an advanced automatic transmission production plant.
