Toyota Motor Corp. is preparing to build a new mini-SUV at its factory in Adapazari, Turkey, in 2016, The Nikkei reports.

The company is investing about €147 million to expand the facility, which currently makes Corolla sedans and Verso minivans, to make about 100,000 SUVs per year.

The new model will be based on the C-HR crossover coupe concept Toyota unveiled at the Paris auto show two weeks ago, according to the newspaper. It says the Adapazari plant will produce the vehicle with hybrid and turbocharged gasoline powertrains.

Toyota aims to use the Turkish facility to supply the mini-SUV to markets in Europe and Asia.
