Toyota Motor Corp. says it will boost output at its factory in St. Petersburg, Russia, in September to meet growing demand for its Camry midsize sedan.
Adding a shift will boost annual production to almost the plant's full capacity of 50,000 vehicles from 20,000 units now. Toyota says it has hired 600 new workers at the facility.
The company said in February that in 2014 it will add stamping and resin molding at the facility, which opened in December 2007.
