Toyota to Add Engine Capacity in U.S.
Toyota Motor Corp. says it will spend about $30 million to expand four-cylinder engine output at its factory in Georgetown, Ky., by August 2013.
Toyota Motor Corp. says it will spend about $30 million to expand four-cylinder engine output at its factory in Georgetown, Ky., by August 2013.
The investment will boost the Kentucky plant's capacity about 25% to more than 500,000 engines per year and add about 80 jobs.
Since February the company has announced other investments totaling $535 million to boost production at three other factories in the U.S. and Canada. Those expansions will add nearly 900 jobs.
