Toyota to Add 1,000 Employees at Texas Campus

Toyota Motor Corp. says it will hire more than 1,000 new employees in numerous departments for the North American headquarters it plans to open next summer in Plano, Tex.

The 2.1 million-sq-ft complex eventually will house 4,000 employees and 1,000 contractors. The company announced in early 2015 it was moving to Texas from its former North American headquarters in Torrance, Calif.
