Toyota Motor Corp. plans to unveil the production version of its upcoming Supra sports car in January at the Detroit auto show.
Company officials in Germany confirmed the introduction in response to questions on the website SupraMKV.com. The vehicle, which is due in the first half of 2019, previously has been shown in various concept and camouflaged stages—including this summer at England’s Goodwood Festival of Speed hill climb.
The all-new Supra will share a rear-wheel-drive platform and components with BMW AG’s Z4 roadster. Both models will be built by Magna Steyr in Graz, Austria.
