Toyota Motor Corp. is recalling 115,000 of its compact IS and midsize GS luxury sedans in the U.S. to resolve a possible fuel leak problem under the hood.
Lexus says the engine fuel systems use a pulse-damping diaphragm that can harden over time, then crack and leak. Dealers will replace the fuel delivery pipe with a new one that contains an improved damper. The company plans to begin notifying owners in the U.S. in early August.
