Two vehicles made in North America by Toyota Motor Corp. the Matrix crossover and Avalon sedan have more local content than any other vehicles produced in the region, AutoWeek reports.

The Matrix and Avalon have 95% and 85% domestic content, respectively, according to the magazine. It cites data calculated by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, which appears on the window stickers of new vehicles sold in America. NHTSA groups the U.S. and Canada as a single region.

General Motors Co.'s Chevrolet Express/GMC Savana cargo vans score the highest domestic content (82%) among Big Three automaker models.

Vehicles with 80% local content include the Chevrolet Impala sedan, Ford Expedition/Lincoln Navigator large SUVs, Honda Accord sedan, Honda Crosstour crossover and Toyota Sienna minivan, AutoWeek says. Chrysler's highest-scoring model is the 200 convertible (79% domestic content).

Among models with 75% North American content are the Chevrolet Camaro and Corvette sport coupes, Ford F-Series pickup truck, Honda Pilot small crossover and Toyota Camry sedan and Tundra pickup.

AutoWeek notes that NHTSA lists the Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Volt with only 55% and 46% domestic content, respectively.
