Toyota Forecasts Sharply Lower Sales Growth in China

Last year Toyota Motor Corp. sales in China climbed nearly 13% to 1.03 million vehicles. But the company anticipates only about 7% growth in 2015 enough to reach 1.1 million units.

Toyota's dealers are asking the company to pay them 2.2 billion yuan ($354 million) in subsidies and set more realistic sales goals for 2015. Some complain the company is forcing quotas upon them and charging penalties if they balk.
