Toyota Continues to Outsell VW in 2015

Toyota Motor Corp. and its affiliates sold 9.21 million vehicles in January-November, down 1% from the same period in 2014. The total compares with 9.10 million sales, down 1.7%, by rival Volkswagen Group.

Toyota has outsold VW over the past five months and is all but certain to retain its position as the world’s highest-sales carmaker in calendar 2015. Toyota, which surpassed General Motors Co. in 2008, has held the top spot since 2012.
