Three More Death Claims Approved by GM Ignition-Switch Fund

The fund assessing applications for compensation for deaths and injuries linked to General Motors Co.'s defective ignition switches says three more death claims and seven more injury claims are eligible for settlement payments.

The additions bring the totals to 80 eligible death claims and 141 eligible injury claims.

The fund is steadily paring down the number of remaining applications either under review (1,246) or awaiting documentation (582). The program has deemed 1,203 applications ineligible for compensation.
