Jerome Guillen, who was named Tesla Motors Inc.'s vice president of service and deliveries in March, has taken a leave of absence through the remainder of 2015, according to a regulatory filing.

Guillen had been head of Tesla's global sales before moving to his most recent assignment. Tesla has declined to comment about his leave.

Bloomberg News notes that Tesla's board says Guillen is no longer an officer required to report his Tesla stock ownership under Section 16 of the Securities Exchange Act.

The board also disclosed that Doug Field is now an officer under Section 16. Field, a former executive at Ford, Segway and Apple, joined the company in 2013 as vice president of vehicle programs. He currently is vice president of engineering.
