Tesla Inc. CEO Elon Musk used a series of tweets on Thursday to announce a timetable for the electric carmaker’s previously announced future product plans.
Musk says the company will reveal the production version of its $35,000 Model 3 electric sedan in July and show a prototype of an electric heavy-duty commercial truck in September. He made no mention of an expected crossover iteration of the Model 3 believed to be coming within two years.
By then the company intends to introduce an all-electric pickup truck, Musk says. He also tweets that Tesla’s electric roadster, which went out of production in 2012, will return as a full convertible. The car reportedly is due in 2019.
