Tesla Inc.’s Model 3 electric car was deemed the most satisfying vehicle to own last year in Consumer Reports’ annual reader survey.
The Porsche 911 luxury sports car finished second in the poll, followed by Hyundai's Genesis G90 sedan. Rounding out the top five were the Chevrolet Corvette and Tesla's top-end Model S electric sedan.
The worst-ranked vehicle was the Acura ILX sedan. CR readers also found the Nissan Sentra, Dodge Journey, Lexus IS and Nissan Versa Note to be less than satisfactory.
CR surveyed more than 500,000 readers to compile the ratings. Respondents were asked how likely they would be to buy the same vehicle and to score their car on five attributes: driving experience, comfort, value, styling, audio and climate controls.
The owner input was combined with CR’s own testing and reliability ratings to come up with an overall score for each model.
