Tenneco Inc. increased its net income to a record $63 million in the first quarter from $57 million in the same period last year. Revenue for the period rose 7% to a record $2.3 billion.
The Lake Forest, Ill.-based supplier of emission and ride performance systems says revenue from light-vehicle-related sales climbed 11%. Commercial-truck revenue jumped 15%, or three times the overall industry expansion.
Tenneco expects revenue growth of 5% in the first quarter and for the full year.
